I've just bought a yamaha mx-2 used, and its works fine mostly, but the turn-on delay is very dependent on the time it was left off.
Once, I left it off for around 3 days, it took some 3 minutes before the speaker relays were closed! (normally ~30 sec, turn on once a day). I see no mention of this kind of behaviour in the operation manual.... Would appreciate if anyone has the schematics or service manuals available. Thanks! |

Looks like you have to replace some elctrolytics in the delay circuit. I don't have the schematics, but it should be relatively easy to locate the delay circuit.
They have schematics here: www.manualscenter.com, but not for free. |
