:D Hi; by the look of the amp itself and the model# of it is quite old from the '70's l'd say dunno 'bout the rear amp so go easy don't get too carried away.... with the prices [ buyer beware]....Sansui made some reall classic and highly regarded gear in it's time so it may be worth it to you but bear in mind sansui is defunct in all but name;) :D on the other hand others may have a different opinion, better wait till you get some more responses from this erstwhile forum ohhh there is one tiny thing to consider these amps were not directly coupled o/p is through a capacitor if memory serves me right though they were decent sounding for the time:D cheers TC

Hi Endzone,

The old Sansui amps from the 70's are very good and built well. However, the parts may be old and may require some upgrades. A cap replacement can definitely improve things, also some transistors may be on their way out and obsolete, but suitable replacements can be found with help. You may need to factor this into the price.

I hope you find these links helpful in making your decision

I have both the 555 tuner and 555 amp. A few years ago, I carefully aligned the tuner and it is currently my favorite from the ten I own, better than... my Leak Throughline which I may sold soon.
The amp probably needs a revamp. Any schematics for both ?
