Dolan PM 1 PreAmp

Have recently acquired the Dolan PM 1 preamp. Excellent phono section. Not much is known about the Dolan. So if anyone has further info kindly post.

Quite expensive when new in 1990 at $2,395.00.

Those seem pretty hard to come by. I have read very little on this preamp, I would be interested in your thoughts on it.

Your unit seem to be an early version Dolan PM 1 with Hammond transfo(better sounding ) and brass front plate,and if I remember
the ac cord was captive and no board was used for volume and
balance.

Back when it was introduced (late 80's?) It garnered a lot of positive ink. Try the review archives of: http://www.uhfmag.com. It was issue #25

Thanks for the link to more info on this Dolan Preamp. I have been talking with a guy who has been into vinyl for a long time and has one that he may be willing to part with.
I have also been looking at the Audible Illusions M3a and the ARC SP-8.
He reccomended me to seek some info on the Dolan before i make a finaly decision. Seems like it would be a good unit to get for the right price.
I recently aquired a VPI HW 19 TT and find my NAD preamp leaving much to be desired.
