In anthony N-channel amp does the phase splitter transitor(Q13) need to be mounted on the same heatsink as the output device?
The schematic can be found at: http://www.aussieamplifiers.com/download.htm

No, It would not need to be.
Actually it is best to use a separate cooler. This transistor does not control the idle current. That is up to what I can understand. Maybe I am right after all. |

hmm JasonL I think that you mix it with the thermal sensing transistor.
I'm talking about the phase splitter wich is nowhere talked about mounting it to the main heatsink(it is mounted on the main heatsink with the original pcb for anthony) I just want to be sure.
