Thank you very much Igla.
Is it the package very expensive?
It seems to me that it comes with a lot of option. Which do you have?

Dont forget http://www.electronicsworkbench.com/ which in my opinion is very much easier to work with than orcad pspice..
I guess it's not very cheap though and the educational version sucks, dont even try it..

I have Multisim6 and try also Ms7...... I can not recommend it :
high price, slowly and ponderous!

The predecessor, the "real" Electronics Workbench EWB5.1
from 1997(!) is quicker and was cheap, although there are some bugs I use it till today!
If there is a possibility to buy it now : This I can recommend!

A good alternative for me is LTSpice it is much more powerful and quicker than my old EWB, but in some cases a little bit less convenient :
I am still learning to use it optimal.
A big help for this is the Yahoo-group and also some members here! Thank You!

Heinz!

Hello beppe,
I have Circuit Maker 2000.I got it a few years ago.
I'm not sure about the price...it must be expensive.
Type the name in Google and check the figures.
This program is fast and easy to work with.
I had EWB for awhile and I didn't like it.
Download the student version to test it (it is not much but enough to see, how the program looks and how it is to work with).

Thank you Mr. Sam.
I sincerely tried to be polite because as I am quite ignorant I do not want to appear arrogant as well.
These two qualities together are just unbearable I think.
Thank you sincerely again.

Besides, what is your opinion about sim softwares?
Are they dependable to make choice about different circuit solutions ?
It could be very interesting to get a computer to do most of the hard work of optimizing a circuit.

Ciao Beppe,

I use Multisim7, and as powerbecker and davidsrsb wrote, I can't recommend it. You get very little help if any with the documentation that comes with it. I find difficult to add parts to it.

I should not buy it again : too much money to give for what you get.

Thank you Friends for your kind and valuable advice.
Please excuse again my following maybe silly question.
Can it be stated that sim softwares give a more "realistic" output when use with more basic topologies (i.e. minimum number of components) ?
For realistic I mean a calculated output from the software very similar to the actual measured output.
If so they could be used to optimize these very simple circuits at maximum with very good sonic results.

Thanks again and regards,

beppe
