ok here is the deal:
can I connect a IRF610 at 18v supply connected as a source follower with a 47K input resistance? specifically: 1:1 input transformer with a 47K resistance connected across secondary. one end to bias other to gate of IRF610 IRF610 running at 200mA. loaded with a 1:10 step-up tranny with a 1K across secondary. input to 1:1 is just output of cd player or pre-amp i.e. 2v. will this work and is there anything i should be aware of? also what is output impedance of IRF610? is it 1.25 ohms?

The ac source resistance is the output impedance of your source plus the transformer resistance, typically less than 1k. The 47k is across the 1:1 output winding and in parallel with it.

so in my example what is the input impedance to the IRF610 given a 150 ohm output impedance from cd player?
i am trying to figure out what if any will affect HF performance with the input capacitance of the mosfet at the input? so with a 1:1 and a 47K secondary termination to the IRF610 I should NOT have any concern about bandwidth? Thanks!
