When i finished my last amp http://deeper.mine.nu/amp/kontakt5.jpg i had some components over so i decided to make another amp only smaller, looks like this http://deeper.mine.nu/amp2/miniklar.jpg and here are a few more pictures from the build..
http://deeper.mine.nu/amp2/ampkont1.jpg http://deeper.mine.nu/amp2/ampkont2.jpg http://deeper.mine.nu/amp2/looda.jpg http://deeper.mine.nu/amp2/mini%20002.jpg http://deeper.mine.nu/amp2/mini%20004.jpg http://deeper.mine.nu/amp2/mini%20008.jpg http://deeper.mine.nu/amp2/mini%20007.jpg http://deeper.mine.nu/amp2/grop.jpg http://deeper.mine.nu/amp2/groope.jpg http://deeper.mine.nu/amp2/starkclose.jpg http://deeper.mine.nu/amp/dcprot.GIF cant seem to find latest schematic but this is pretty close.. http://deeper.mine.nu/amp/scheema3.gif i must say I like this one.. i'm probalby building two more boards to put in the big amp.. p.s And dont think that it cant play loud!!and I actually have a few more and bigger capacitors on the supply that does'nt show on the pics.. I got tired of the nabours partying like they wantes to crush the walls so I played as loud as i could for a few song, sound levels from them has been sane since then hehe.. |

i have two of theese http://www.alltronics.com/images/Vicor_Module.jpg modules on the heatsink, they are behind copper sheet because of smps noise..i rectify 240 volt to dc then input in the modules and get 28volt out, the alu 90degree thing with transistors shown is the amplifiers..

I asked because I'm into the SMPS thing and I know these SMPS modules, but be aware that most people here doesn't, and they will be wondering where are the bulky 500VA 50Hz toroid transformers and the associated 100.000uF of 50Hz filter capacitors...

here are most of the pictures i've taken.. http://deeper.mine.nu/amp/ http://deeper.mine.nu/amp2/ I love those modules.. do you maybe know a cheapish place to buy them?.. I want other voltages/currents in a future project.. I'm keeping a close eye on ebay.. |

Made a new design for the amp.. dont take the values to seriously now.. http://deeper.mine.nu/amp2/hirmod.GIF Isaw an old design by hiraga(used by sansiu i think) and thought i'd check if it was possible to use it somehow altough modified a bit.. (ps load capacitor wrongly connected was moved to gnd, no difference was shown in simulator exept a little overshoot on square wave )
