hi , i just built the boss ds1 distortion pedal for my guitarist friend , here s the schematic and pcb :

Change the diodes to Ge or Schottky diodes.
Increase the 10k resistor on Q2's collector. Increase the 100k feedback resistor going from point 3 to point 6 and add a small input resistor between the two opamps. |
