Hi there, Im new to DIY, just wanting to get as much info on the 70's Sony TA-1055 Integrated Amplifier as possible – any information known no matter how basic e.g. on specs, capabilities, reputation etc would be greatly appreciated! Cheers

At the risk of not being cosher and mentioning another forum here: you might want to pop over to audiokarma.org and browse/search in the 'vintage solid state' forum there...

It's from 1972, it's rated at 23W per channel in to 8 ohms (both channels driven) and 27W per channel in to 4 ohms (both channels driven). Harmonic distortion is less than 0.5%, and IM distortion less than 0.5%. All these figures are at 1KHz.
They weren't a very highly rated amplifier, not up there with Quad or Leak.
