YUP - and it has now been modified...

Quite a quantum leap in performance over an already very impressive sounding amplifier.

I'm currently getting to grips with the circuit in PSpice and have managed to get most of the models together incl. some kindly uploaded onto this forum.

It looks like that in standard form the DVT's in their last incarnation (there's got to be at least 4mk's in their production life), will have distortion figures in the order of 0.05% with the 'ear freindly' 2nd being the most dominant.
Now this can be improved to something like less than 0.02% at any power level and down to 4Ohm for DVT-50 and 2Ohm for DVT-250. But one thing is figures - quite another what it actually does sound like - in real life - with real loads... and here I can only suggest that: Rauch still excells...

This is so remarcable that it has been possible to secure quite a number of upgrades /rebuilds on the back of the first modified DVT-50S amp, which most probably came from U.

So all good fun here...
