optimum load for mosfet source follower?

if i wanted to load a source follower with a transformer what is optimum load for it?

i.e. say i had a mosfet running at 15vdc and 50-100mA. Connected is a 1:10 step-up transformer what is minimum secondary load? is 1K too low?

How do i determine optimum source follower load with a regular resistor instead of a transformer or choke?

Hi,
may I presume you already know that the 1:10 transformer converts the load to an equivalent 1/100 * 1k = 10r?

Whether this is an acceptable load for your FET, I can't help.

how do you know if the 10ohms is an acceptable load for a mosfet source follower???

simulated it seems that i need to raise the 1K to about 2.7K and increase operating current of mosfet to near 100mA.

next question is there a mosfet that can run at 100mA and still have a low enough input cap to allow for a 47K input resistance?
