Does anyone have a schematic for a quasi comp bipolar output amplifier?
I've been cleaning the blackened components from one of my favorite sounding PA amps (beer + 99v rails don't mix ) and I was surprised to find it has an all NPN output stage. (16 Sanken 2SC3264 per channel) I've never looked into quasi comp outputs, I've always stuck to true complimentary.
Its an old Malcolm Hill design I believe, pre Chameleon. Gets very hot when driven hard but sounds really nice. Perfect for a bass amp, which is just what I'm after for a 3 way active speaker system I'm building
Ta!

Hi BlackCatSound,
I recently posted this cct that I developed as a variance of a mosfet design.

The cct is untested at this stage but if you can wait, I will try to do a board layout over the next few weeks.
Cheers
