My dad used to have two Quad 405's powering Koss 240s (i think...) that were made up of entirely Peerless components. He sold all the equipment not realizing how valuable it was! I built a mini set of these speakers and they ROCK. I used to work in a theatre that closed down, and i tried to get all their old equipment. they had 4 ASHLY power amps, but i didnt' get the opportunity. this sparked my interest, and i've been looking for a Quad 405 but they are going for so much nowadays. Do u guys know a good alternative to a Quad power amp? Something not too expensive. I have a Harman/Kardon receiver that i would use as a pre amp for just the front speakers. thanks guys.
