Afraid so, Pavel.
The Denpa attenuators makes me think of the good old Penny&Giles days. Anyone know what a Shallco switch costs ?

Why do you think it is called the Blowtorch ?
Mr Ball will be P***** Off by this one, even after $17K the meter keeps running. Makes me wonder why i never thought of machining from solid, easier than building a chassis. Thanks, Elso.

What is nice at this construction, which look like sparrow nest, Hugh ? Expensive switches and silver wires ? Or extruded chassis ?

Mr Dean,
the CTC power amplifier goes by the name Barbeque. This set was developed for Texas, the KKK or both. Does make one wonder which of the three has/had the sense of humor.

I'm with Pavel, really, really ugly wiring.
Oh, and that chassis looks like a U shaped extrusion with top, bottom, and back plates to me. Good idea though.
