cartman,

I've owned that amplifier. Now I use Pass Labs and there is no math. The NAD has punch and is neutral, but that's it. It has poor extension (top and botom); midband is not liquid and the sound is only 2D. It's not an audiophile product.
Don't lose your time with it - chose one of the Pass DIY amplifiers, according to your load/room needs. They're in an entirely different (better) class.

Regards
Alves

Kind of late reply, but anyway.

NAD S200 is a factory tweaked/modified NAD 218 THX.
They share the same schematics.

The biggest difference between these two amps is the chassis with terminals.
Other changes are better PCB (two sided, same layout, but the wire straps are replaced with pcb tracks), Metalfilm resistors instead of the ordinary and some better capacitors here and there.

The only S-amp that`s someting special is the S300 (based on a Gryphon amp) but thats another story;-))

You may change 4 red wima 1uF caps in input stage, and you will hear the difference .

Default Anyone have Schematic for NAD S300 Integrated Amp?

Does anyone have a Schematic for the incredible NAD S300 Integrated Amp?

As some you are aware I bought this off Fleabay and it came without a left channel power amp circuit board and output devices. Am I excited or what???? about this personal disaster.

See the hassle you would have saved if you had only bought mine? I don't have schematics, but I know your new board is on the way. It is amazing how small the word is. I am selling my S300 off in favor of my ugly but functional Pass F4. Enjoy that amp.

Default It's a small small world indeed!!!

Hello Dave:

It is a small world and in the long run I wish I did buy your Amp with that beautiful S70 Remote!!!!

But as you we're aware I committed to this because of price and location of seller (2 hours away by car), and some things seem so simple but are so complex!!!

If your buyer does not want that beautiful remote you can sell it to me for $100!!!!!

Thanks,

I will let you know if that is what happens. The other guy who is interested is obsessing about the scratches. He has been holding out trying to get a cost for a new faceplate. I honestly don't think you can get one. It has been out of production for a couple of years now, and that is not the kind of thing that you make extras of if you don't have to. Oh well, I will just have to run my add for another month and this time take money of the first offer instead of holding out for that extra $50.
