Default Does Annybony know of an amp that uses these trasnistors?

I just got two dead P.A. amplifiers from a friend of mine.
It looks like they were fried by lightning, but the transistors appers ok.
They are ktc5200 and kta1943.
Does annyone know of a design that uses these?
(I have 32 of each. 8 of each per chanel per amp.)

ps the amps were 1000 watt RMS x2 @8 ohm.......
i wish they still worked.......

Im looking for a amp to run a servo sub im building. If annyone has a scematic post a link or a picture.

Im also looking for a servo unit for the sub. There was an Audio Express article on this topic, however i couldn't find a parts list on the actual servo.

Any help on either would be greatly appreciated

The Korean version to be precise.
But half of the Korean Electronic Company has been owned by Toshiba for the last 15 years or so, identical to the 2SA and 2SC types i suppose.

How much power are you looking for, Chris ?
You have a total of 64 of these Korean kids ?

The Symasym, the AKSA and Graham Maynard's amp all use 2SC5200/2SA1943. An exceptionally fast and good transistor, with one of the flattest beta v. current curves I have seen. Flat from 200mA to 7A, in fact.

Cheers,

Hugh

well... i was hoping for mabye 100-150 watts.
it will be powering a Dayton DVC 15 in sub in a medium size room. my parents allready complain with just a 50 watt gc driving it (it shakes the upstairs windows....). Though the main reason that i want to build a new amp is so that i can use the gc for something else (i also just enjoy building things).

i might also be willing to sell the extras after im finished building the amp. though i might make more than one.....
