Hi KBK,

Well that's what's been letting the side down all these years - the fuses!!! Sounds like the brainchild of one infamous Aussie 'metaphysicist' who moved to California a decade and a half ago with his one way zillion $$ cables!

As I'm including a few 'special' components like WIMA polyprops and Vishay MF resistors into my kits, maybe I should be considering these? It might be a little difficult holding the kit price though.

Cheers,
Greg

A modification to a given circuit's fusing system, will alter the sound of the given circuit in a noticable way.

Few here would argue that.

If he really has 'fourteen dedicated circuits' in his listening room, each could be appropriately fused at source, and he could eliminate the fuses in his components altogether!
BTW, I wonder if the dedicated circuits use magic circuit breakers too?

"Better still, everything continued to improve for several days as the fuses settled in."

"There is something I should point out here about installing Isoclean fuses. Each fuse is marked with an arrow, indicating the direction the current should flow. Take care to not reverse these, as it harms the sound."

Was the reviewer not talking about changing the AC mains fuses?

Ever wondered why on somedays I hate the Hi-Fi industry so much... OH! what BS!

Sigh. 2 or 3 years ago I looked into how/if it were possible to order up a batch of 5x20mm fuses with gold plating just so I could make some beer money by fleecing the high-end crowd. I abondoned the idea because the minimum lot size involved a bigger investment than I was willing to risk.

Though I think the "product" is assinine, I have considerable ad,iration for the chutzpah of the perp. Sort of like thinking Butch and Sundace were cool even if not one does not consider bank robberey a proper line of work.
