Good Day,
I own a Denon Stereo receiver which is around 19 years old(bought in 1985). The output stage for both channels seem to give A LOT of hissing and frying noise. I tried adjusting the treble control and the noise goes down and up. This should mean that the noise is related to the preamplifier and not the output stage or something, right? By the way, testing was done with no input signal and an eight ohm speaker (the speaker has a three way crossover). I would really appreciate if anyone can help me identify the problem. Thank you.
