Power Ampli Cambridge A75, ser. A1277, made by A&R Cambridge (ARCAM) in the UK probably 20 - 25 years ago. --- During the initial application of AC power this unit produces a strong power-on THUMP in both speakers. With the speakers disconnected approx. 45 VDC momentarily appear at the unloaded output terminals.
1) Is this the normal behaviour of this amplifier?
2) All power output transistors in this ampli are type 2SD896 (NTE/ECG 36), obviously recent replacements. What is the type number of the original power transistors used in the A75 amplifier?
3) Can anyone provide a schematic(circuit) diagram ?
