Go to Google and search for "Studio 350" Follow the first two links.

By all accounts this amp is excellent. Your transistors are not as strong as the ones in the article so you will need to run extra in parallel. No changes are required for the rest of the cct and you could even use the existing layouts.

Cheers

Default 2sa1943 on high voltage rails

Hi Opor,
I concur with quasi, 2sa1943/c5200 are not too good at higher voltages.
I did some numbers for ClassA Leach thread which gave
Quote:
Some calcs gave the following
4 pairs MJL21193/4 running on 70degC sink can drive 100W into 8ohms (Tc max=92degC). Similarly 8 pairs 2sa1943/c5200.
If you want to run 6 pairs 2sa1943/5200 the sink must be kept down to 55degC (Tc max=75degC).
If you run +-70Vdc rails the SOAR problem gets even worse.
Multiple pairs will substantially overcome the fragility problem but then starts to get in the road of clean signal processing according to some contributors.
