but what about the irony of the peace prize being named after the inventor of dynamite. I think it all makes sense.

Hi Greg

before Nobel makes his invention the minewokers used
nitroglycerine. which is difficult to handle because it`s very sensitive. So many workers died bei work and transport.

Nobel invention is to use kieselgur which absorbs the nitroglycerine...this is not sensitive you can handle it like a piece of bread it will only then explode if use a initial fuse.
With a big part of the money he gets from this invention he makes a foundation to push the science!
The "peace-Nobel-price" was a later idea from other people.
