Default My thinking

Hi CARLOS ! in my opinion I,ll made separat chanells with separate psu. This means how many power amps counts power transformers, . I prefer modular construction, for me is wery profesional, and pro. looking. 2years ago I,ll made some similar amp. Because my friend got DENON PRE-TUNER for Dolby sUrraund (AVP-A1) . I anodised in original color shampagne. When my friend sow finished amp." He pissed in pants".

Hi Carlos,
I would tend to run the mids and highs off the same transformer, separately regulated power supplies for the front ends. Each bass amp and sub might get it's own transformer. At least the sub would. I would make sure the heat from the bass didn't shut the bias off for the mids or highs. Different heatsinks for each frequency range minimum.

What do you think? Besides, a big multi winding transformer would be hard to replace if needed.

Default Well...i see that separated supplies and separated rectifier and filtering

Are beeing more voted...i thank you all...and ready to listen to other ideas...please, the ones that do not agree, please, explain reasons..will be better to my understanding.

Construct transformer by hand is very easy for me...i am skilled related that...decades doing...the problem to be heavy or the need or replacement or even repair is not a problem.

But beeing better, because not have interactions between supplyes, having different iron cores for each amplifier, or even separate ones that will have more floating voltage (sub bass).... those ideas seems to be better than a single unit.

But let's listen others ideas....maybe there are some aspects that we forgot to take into our decision.

Thank you, and welcome ideas, opinnions, agreements, disagreements and freedom to talk.

Of course, i dislike the ones say..."I do not agree!"...without make the efforce to explain detailed his ideas...because disagree alone have not too much meaning.

regards,

Carlos

Hi Carlos,
You may be further ahead to separate the bass amps from the mid / high amps in different cases. This will minimize thermal interactions and electromagnetic interactions.

Can you imagine how heavy one big unit would be? (that's case point #2). In ten years you will be less able to lift this thing, plan ahead as we aren't 20 yrs old any more!

Remember that you will have to live with this thing.

Carlos,

he asks you if you are willing to appreciate his effort somehow, for example by a small amount of money

Quite correct , like Nobel Prize, for example.

You surely know - Nobel Prize of Peace is usually awarded to politicians who successfuly won an important war
