Hi.
It's a fet input device. If this is not important to you the AD797 is a better opamp in many applications. The device is well documented on Analog Device's website. Compare the specs and see what you are looking for.
In my opinion AD797 sounds better.

AD 797 is not dual opamp....I you need dual one, try AD 8066...it is very good amp....

I saw that. I started to prepare the amplifier for two IC. Interesting to try the AD8066.
Where can I buy it in Sweden? Elfa didn’t have it.

Some duals that may be interesting and that are available in DIL packages at Elfa.

Maybe some of the won't work well in your application. Some are JFET in, other bipolar. The 6172 is very fast and may cause oscillation problems.

Maybe I should have added that my list was not meant as a suggestion of the kind that all those op amps are necessarily better. However, for each of them, there are people who have tried it and consider that particular one to be the best of all op amps. But I could suggest almost any op amp (except for 741 maybe) and there will be somebody who says it sounds awful and somebody who thinks it sounds marvellous. So, from those op amps that people recommend from time to time, I just picked those that fit the availability criteria in this case. The application will naturally also affect which op amp may be the best choice, but unless I missed it, there was no info on the application.

Can't we use dual single's instead of single dual?

Do we want just below -80 dB crosstalk for instance as the suggested OP-AMP Upupa gave if each OP-AMP in/on same package/die is going to work with 2 ch information, eg. stereo?

In that case any OP-AMP with -100 dB noise flor/PSRR/distortion etc. is a "waste", yes/no?

The AD797 was dismissed for not being a dual earlier, so I assumed it had to be a dual. If that is not required, the situation is quite different. We also still don't know what it will be used for, do we?

Yeah, it seemed a bit strange, but since progg70 didn't protest I assumed he wanted a double for some reason I had missed. But there wasn't much too miss on the other hand. The questions remains heavily underspecified in my opinion.

I agree with Upapa on the 8066.. You may also want to try the AD8620 ... It might be a little easier to work with than the 8066 (since the 8066 is such a fast opamp, it might not be stable in a circuit designed around the 2134 if proper decoupling wasn't put in place).

Oh, and you could always use a dual-opamp adapter to try the OPA627/637, AD797, etc.
