My friend from Chicago send me of his idea for design super comprehensive preamp.
The concept is output = (original input sum with negative feedback) then sum of product go to sum with original input again. This method he called Error Correction Output Revise or ECOR. If anybody have some idea to improve this schematic please write your idea here PS. He told me this schematic had edit from PS AUDIO ??? regard AHT |

Can't say i see much sense. A single driven instumentation amp with an extra feedback? The concept may be valid with power amps but all these opamps work under pretty much the same conditions. And the feedback is through a unity gain opamp? Why not use a direct connection? I probably don't understand it.

If you are just trying to minimize noise & distortion while placing a buffer after the pot it would be hard to improve on a single AD797 with external compensation for unity gain. If you are truly fanatic you could force it into class A and add a BUF634 inside the feedback loop. That should give you three zeros between the decimal point and the first sugnificant digit and supply all the current the next stage could reasonably want.
Any opamp at unity gain has gobs of NFB. This is not to say the schemtic doesn't work, it's just hard to see why one would go to all that trouble. |
