Have you tried any upgrades on the Rotel yet?
I`m just asking since I`m planning on doing some upgrades on my Denon reciver and DVD player. A fast look at the Denon schematics shows lots! of caps and cheap op-amps in the signalpath... The powersupply are weak as? I don`t know, 2*10.000uf in a 5*75W amp isn`t much to brag about... The power amplifier circuit seems to be realy simple (not many parts). I haven`t looked at the volume control parts yet, but I guess they have picked up some cheap stuff here also. There are plenty room for upgraded parts, it must be the sales department who decide the box size, big box=must be good ;-) My goal is to get this reciver to play movie sound in a decent way, and that it can power the rear channels without soundnig harsh. Time will show
