Default rotel RB-985 and RTC-970 question

I was given a Rotel RTC-970 pre-amp tuner and a Rotel RB-985 amplifier recently and I am currently having trouble getting them to produce any sound. The only speaker channel I can get any sound out of is the center channel. All of the speakers work under that channel so it is not them. I think it has something to do with the RB-985 only having 5 inputs in the back of it and I have no idea how to go from the 970 to the 985 correctly. Does anyone have any ideas?

p.s. I do have both owners manuals for them.

Sincerely,
Steve
