Howdy,
Today I picked up four 3583JM opamps (+-70 to +-150 volt 75 mA) in TO-3 packages. Any ideas for them? Maybe replace the input stage on my Hafler XL280's with them? datasheet here: http://focus.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/3583.pdf oh yeah, I got all four brand new for ONE DOLLAR! Total. thanks, PSz. |

After looking into these further, I see several options.
1 Use these to drive power mosfets as followers. 2 Use a tube amp output transformer with them. 3 Build some electrostats or some sort of large custom piezo transducer and drive them directly. These things are expensive little toys I get to play with. TI lists them as US$208.50 each in quantities of 1000! So, I would like to do something interesting with them. Oh yeah, I am likely to use them (somehow) to drive my mid-high frequency horns. 500-800 hertz on up. But I am open to options. Anyone have configuration ideas I missed? Has anyone played with these before? Any votes on which way I should go? PSz. |
