Hello.
I have an old Muntz X-1000 amp with am/fm reciever, that kinda goes, but has several problems: -power supply bottoms out at quite low level (that invlovel bass) -channels seem to me mixed together (sounds kinda like mono, as both are playing the same stuff) -adjusting any controls give out poping and cracking noises. I woyuld like to refurbish this amp to fix the mentioned problems. I looked around the net but i could not find any "refurbishing solid state amp guide" anywhere. I'm not an electronic pro, but i know how to solder and use multimeter, and if I had a comprehensive guige on how to go about it, I'll definitely attempt to refurbish this amp. Could anyone point me out to a good guide located on the internet or recommend a book that would get me started ? thanks in advance. Matthew. |
