Can anyone refer me to literature/info on the design of Class D amplifiers, specifically for use as subwoofer amps?

http://www.harris.com (they may have changed name) http://www.linfinity.com http://www.tripath.com http://www.cirrus.com http://www.lcaudio.dk (there is some info in Danish here) the list goes on. Do a search on google. You may wish to add the following criteria in addition to the obvious: Apogee DDX Sharp Equibit Saunders Coolmax ICEpower I think we can safely say that TI has thought leadership in this area today. hi.
>there is some info in Danish here> not much if any in danish (or english either)... are you interested in designing or using class-d amplification? if the latter you may find this of interest : http://www.cadaudio.dk bye k madsen |
OK then

This is an update on their sigma delta unit which should come out at some point. Intersil (not Harris) with CoolAudio -- I saw some pretty nifty design notes there a few years back on how to design proper two stage LC filters. Nice. A quick google search (courtesy of crappy Intersil search engine) yielded http://www.intersil.com/data/AN/AN9/AN9525/AN9525.pdf which you might find useful. Petter |
