Jensen's circuit was a very nice piece, but is a bit dated
after 20+ years.

You will be interested to know that Deane received a US
patent on the inductors on the diff pair as a means of
lowering the open loop gain at higher frequencies and
improving loop stability.

Nelson, thanks for explaining why I haven't seen those inductors in any other designs! I never considered that the idea was patented.

And that hypno thingie is making me sleepy ...

Great..
Somewhat like the infamous Rambus, it s easier to patent
something that already exists.
If my memory is good, inductors implemented in a differential
emitters date back from the mid 60s.
