Hi, Amplifierguru,

You're so misterious. Could you tell who you are, what commercial products have you developed (in past years)?

I have been designing amplifiers since a teenager and commercially on and off for the last 30 years, beginning with my own company in Australia in 1974 fresh out of a B.Sc. Physics. It was back then I was given the nickname amplifier guru - hope it doesn't offend. Audio Design made amplifiers, mixers, active crossovers and loudspeakers. I designed complete sound reinforcement systems using these products.

I don't know if this is the place to post my resume and besides some of it is commercial in confidence. But I did design the Eidetic (OPA627) chip driven MOSFET amps in Australia in 1989-94 - that have become collectors items, and I redesigned the amplifier range for Magnet in Thailand in 95 just prior to their successful JV with a US company, and worked as a consultant for a well known high end amplifier manufacturer in Conneticut!

I have also supervised/managed a turnkey installation of PA, theatre, conference, MATV and security in a palace in the ME.

I had published an article called Distorting Power Supplies all about PSRR - in Wireless World.

Cheers.

Mikeks, It was the Wireless World reference that gave it away, yes?

The article was headlined as " Audio Distortion - Holy Grail located" on the cover!
