I have purchased a old Soundcraftsmen amp that was advertised as DOA.
Upon opening it I see that it has some corrosion on some of the components on the main board. Most of the TO-39s have leads that are completely eaten through. Two of them where actually lying loose inside the case. I have ordered new TO-39s and diodes. Some of the other parts have greenish corrosion on the leads but don't seem to be damaged other than that. Do any of you know of a product that will clean the corrosion without damaging anything? Weird thing is that only some of the components seem to be affected. In some places there might be three components sitting right next to each other and only one of them will have corrosion on it. Could this be an electrolysis thing? Thanks, Terry |

Thanks friend,
Sounds like just what the doctor ordered. I ordered them. I'll let you know how well they work when I get them. Blessings, Terry |
