Transformer brand opinions?

Hi guys, This is my first time writing on this forum. I would like to replace the transforers in my dual mono amp. It uses TE 20 VA transformers with +- 30v taps. Are larger TE transformers available here in the US? Are there any other non toroidal transformers that would be better? ALl I can find so far are toroidals. The amp uses 1 Morocco tip 142/147 darlington pair per channel. It out performes every other amp I have heard including the accuphase A 50 other than it doesnt do bass well at all. The highs and mids are so open and airy with no solid state shrill, etc. Im hoping with a larger power supply I can get more bass out of it.

Transfomer with +-30V tap????U are kidding!!The output voltage is AC,not DC.So u should not have "+- 30v but 30V:0V or 30V:0v:30V printing on the transfomer.Check again,pls

An amp taking ~45V is not uncommon...

I think he means dual taps as in 30-0-30vac rectified to +41/-41vdc

I thought Hammond made some E + I's.
