I set up this adapter board for replacing the NE5532 with a pair of AD825's and 0603 decoupling capacitors -- there is the option of connecting pin 4 to V-, or connecting it to ground for single-supply operation.
if there is interest I can have some made. They are a bit small to cut on a table saw, probably will have to design rows of holes so they can be snapped apart. http://www.tech-diy.com/ad825_adapter.htm

I thought of top and bottom mounting, but if the AD825 runs to its maximum capacity you will probably shorten its life dramatically. there is no airflow to the bottom chip so it will really cook.

What is maximum capacity ? Output current +/- 50 mA ? In 99 % cases op amp run by much lower conditions. BTW this design is universal, not only for 825 and I don't observe any disturbing by using of this aid
.

figure it will dissipate ~ 100mW quiescent.
there are better dual opamps from ADI anyway. |

Gerber files of the double sided version would be nice.

The bottom uses thicker traces because I had the place to make them thicker. Making them as thin as the top planes can be done without problems.

What's wrong?
The 2 sides are printed in mirored mode, maybe that's wrong.
