Finally I powered the Leach amp with alligators. Still don't know how it sounds.
Many thanks to all in this forum from whom I got feedback while constructing.
DC offset: 10 mV on one side, 20 mV on the other. Neither load nor input connected. I also did not short the input. Good, huh?
When I connect a speaker and still nothing at the intput, a hsss can be heard from 1-2 feets - but there is no hum. Is the hsss normal or can it be improved if the amp goes into a metal case and a source is connected or would these help only for the hum?
