Gents,
I have gotten hold of some 15000uF 200v caps. I'd like to use them to beef up a power amp I have that uses +/-91.5 vdc rails (but small trafo ...500va or so) to give 700 watts bridged. If I connect these caps to the +vcc and -vcc (not the gnd), will I gain any "stiffness" in rails or is it not worth it? Second question (not related to the above) Anyone know the Trafo VA ratings of the Hafler DH-500 and DH-600. Third question, I just got a Hafler DH-500 and this has a very different front plate than all other DH-500's I have seen. This has a bumped up middle across the front plate like the XL-600. Is this model better or worse than the other ones? Thanks in advance. |
