Sorry for putting post in this forum, but I want to know waht about some quality transistors for DoZ tha i've build...
First my version has 2N3055 (Tungsram-Hungary) Then i go with KD503 (Tesla-Chech)... good stable transistors... Then one day i get MJ15003 original - ON (ex-Motorola)... The mids get very clear, the highs go so clear at high level, BUT low and basses just almost dissapear... hum... first i think that this is subjective because of MJ's clearness ...but when i go for left chanel - kd503, right - MJ15003 , then i realize that this disapear of bass is not deception... I have question what quality power transistor i must get for clear mid and highs , and in the mean time good solid and clear bass? Thank you in advice! Best Reggards! Niki / Bulgaria |

Just built a DoZ using MJ15003's for output, no bass problem here. Even if there were, I've got a 42V supply, and with 1.7A through the outputs, I don't have a lot of choices for output devices.

EchoWars: Maybe the reason is that KD503 have more bass then another because 2N3055 don't have so basses almost like MJ15003... hm If You can, get two pairs KD503 and experiment?
Hm... i really thinking about 2SC5200 or similar, some opinion about this? Best Reggards Niki / Bulgaria |
