Hello there. Can any one give me some advice? I am thinking about making my own hi end hifi, amp/pre amp. But have absolutely no idea how to, or have any electronic skills. Is it worth me reading up or is it best to get brand name stuff. Alternatively, I have a Name nap 180 and nac 72, could they be up graded to a higher level?
Thanks for any help. Steven B |

Take a look at the www.passdiy.com , there you will find a couple of projects that anyone with a multimeter and some patience can handle. A good starting point would be the Zen power amp and the Bride of Zen pre. Both are very simple and offers great sound for little money and effort. Both have ready made PCB's from parts express.
