Question Recommendations for re-capping McIntosh MA-5100

I have a McIntosh MA-5100 I traded for a h/k 930 receiver. I am in the process of nursing it back to health after a bad bout with 27V of DC offset. The amp now operates correctly and I am now able to take my time in restoring it.

It is my understanding that some of the capacitors in the pre-amp section degrade after 30+ years, notably the Mallory and Sprague “Trans-lytic” caps.

What would be suitable replacements for them. I have a ton of Elna caps that fit the specs, but these are for “down ‘n’ dirty” power supplies. I don’t know how appropriate they would be for audio signals. Or am I being paranoid? Is a capacitor a capacitor?

Thanks!

I'm not enthusiastic about using designer components, but you can at least use pretty decent ones. Wima FKPs are reasonably priced and very high performance. I can't remember who owns the old Sprague name now (Vishay?), but their 715P series is cheaper and almost as good.
