Default Replacement driver boards for the Quad 303

Looking for replacement driver boards for the Quad 303 amplifier. There was a seller on Ebay that was sellling replacement amp driver boards but I can't remember his handle. I have recently bought a 303 that is a disaster, the circuit boards are in pretty bad shape. I could also use a heatsink for the outputs as mine was damaged in shipping.

I got the service manual somewhere if you would care to roll your own.

I'm in the middle of repairing a 303 for a friend - power regulator dead (putting 84volts on rails), one channel dead (blown bias transistor, dead output transistors, tracks blown off pcb, etc.).

I'm wondering whether you'd be able to advise the correct method of setting the bias current - this is the later design with the active bias control.

Thanks.

Smile New Driver Boards

Hi Everyone,

Hope this helps with upgrading 303's

http://www.net-audio.co.uk

I think this was the stuff being sold on ebay, but this is the main man for upgrading Quad's anyway.

These are good amps, i started back up with bi-amped 303's. Didn't do much more than change the main smoothing caps, as they had past their best.
Dont have them now though as sounded a bit warm and wooly with my IPL S3tlm's.. there really suited for ESL 63's, but im sure if the right parts are changed they can compete with some of todays amps.

Now use Williams Hart mono blocks
