It should work. But not necessary in class A. If You set small bias with the lower part, it can work in class AB as well.

Right, but with class A (idle current 1.3A) much better results.
What spectrum of simulation?..

I wouldn't use this in class AB with feedback
think about phase shift of a trafo- may cause hard to avoid oscilations

in class A it is nice.. something like susan-parker's

regards

With this bias it will be class A, up to 25W/8ohms.
The spectrum means low distortion, but the large 5th harmonic looks strange for me...
Feedback can helps to reduce the distortion, but with interstage transformer You can't use more the 14-16dB without instability

I have built a pair of power followers in the past that were designed by that guy in Italy.... can't rememhber his name. They sounded fine and were a good exercise in amp building but overall a waste of time. I would reccomend building one of the Aleph projects instead of wasting your time and money.

Hi,so new struction of the circuit!
but the driver(transformer) is hard to DIY or Buy somewhere...
if modify the circuit...same as JLH's output stage...
I think many problems will not surv.

Thanks to negative feedback, transformer in this circut is no so critical.Did have configuration 1:1:1.
Buy somewhere...http://www.jensen-transformers.com/d...s/123blcf1.pdf
