Thumbs up for ampslab and the Bi120.

I have been looking for a good amp to run a pair of Acoustat 2+2 speakers. I've have been tried a good number of amps, and the ampslab Bi120 has been the best so far. The bass performance is pretty incredible, beating out an Adcom 555 MKII. The amps run fairly cool, and have very good detail and sound very extended on top. The midband is very smooth, but a bit laidback sounding, which I'm sure will improve with break-in.

I know quite a few people here have asked about ampslab, but never seen anyone that actually tried them. Mike Chua is great to work with and is very responsive to email inquires.

I am in no way affiliated with ampslab... just wanted to put out a good word for them since they have been so helpful.

I compared it to a long time favorite amp of mine, the B&K ST202+ Sonata. The Ampslab was smoother and more detailed.
