This one was an evolution of the old Australian ETI-480, and the modifications done made it good to bass Reproduction, and exactly matching your needs...100 RMS over 8 Ohms, 50 RMS over 4 ohms, and a very interesting bass.
But if you will see the Bass Square wave using some Wave Form Monitor, you will not be impressed by the 10 Hertz wave shape. Despite of this wave shape beeing no good....sound is very nice to years. So, for humans it will be nice. Use around 40 Plus and 40 minus....of course you can use it from 35 to 45 volts without problem, have only to readjust the bias...or even let them work warm (better) AKSA can be used too, it produces a very good bass also, and can produce also 100 Watts, maybe need more output transistors... 2 pairs in the place of a single pair. If DIY, the AKSA schematic was published in this forum...the thread is: "Hugh will let us see his AKSA 55 schematic".... go to search sector and try to find. Many amplifiers will be good to your need, even those with 2N3055 in the output, or 2N2955/3055, using 2 pairs to be more safe. You lucky, many others will appear, your specifications are easy to reach. regards, Carlos

Hook up a dummy load, watch the output with a 'scope whilst you feed in a sinewave just below clipping. The RMS value of the sinewave is simply (peak-to-peak/2)/1.414.
