TO-264 insulators?

Hello,

I've been looking for insulators for TO-264 package transistors, but can't seem to find them anywhere. Does anyone know where to find them?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that a T)-247 insulator is close enough in dimention to do the job.

A TO-247 is 825x626x198 mils, and TO-264 is 1023x783x196 mils. Kind of a big difference, especially in the height.

I have used these from mouser:

The data for the 4180 pad is here:

The surface of the package is covered, and the pad is thick enough to isolate it from the heatsink.

The 4170 pads are smaller, but I used them for TO-264 devices once as well:

Most of the surface is covered on the bottom of the package, and the heat transfers quite well. The 4180 pads are quite a lot bigger, and work perfect for the TO-264 IMO.

Kapton tape of the correct width does the job very nicely.

I used insulators for TO-3P package on my TO-264's and they worked just fine.

If you don't mind spending a few extra bucks, the Bergquist K-10 appears to be an excellent choice. The TO-247AC type (linked to below) will completely cover a TO-264. I plan on using these for my amp.
