I have been searching long and hard for some specific recommendations in regards to fullwave bridge rectifiers. A couple of articles that I read stated that bridge rectifiers are more desirable in amplifier power supplies than ultrafast discrete rect.
It was also stated in a couple places that an oversized bridge would be well worth the extra dollar spent. What are some of your experiences? Any recommendations? I am building some ucd based amps by the way. Thanks |

A bridge is a term to describe how discrete diodes are connected. Typically, 4 diodes are connected in such a way that they rectify in a full-wave manner. You can buy bridge rectifiers that are composed of standard "p-n" diodes or "High Speed Soft Recovery" diodes.
Whether you use discrete diodes or a bridge is of no consequence. |

I suggest you have a look at Big Parsnip's group buy if you are interested in descrete, fast bridge rectifiers.
