Design for IR Remote on/off switch?

I am looking for a simple IR remote on/off circuit. I would just like to use a single button remote to turn my amp on and off. The circuit needs to be able to handle the switching of mains power 115v AC.

Any Ideas?

I've seen remote controls for christmas tree lights (so you don't have to go crawling behind the tree to unplug it); you might need to use a beefier relay, though. It's the right time of year to find those at the hardware store.

How about an X10 "appliance" module? Not infrared, and you either need a wired controller or a RF remote and receiver module. That's what I've been using to control power to my audio system.
