Default Possible use of LM308 in audio preamplifier

I have got some LM308. It will be helpful if someone tells me whether this op-amp can be used to design audio preamplifier. If yes, then kindly send me a design.

I did search, but did not find a suitable answer to my question.

The LM308 is a very slow op amp (Slew rate=.3V/mcS) and is not good for audio purposes.
U should be able to buy NE5532 at around Ruppees 10 each in Mumbai market, and these are used in audio. U will also find many audio application circuits.
Search the net.

enjoy

Thank you Gajanan for your precise reasoning. I already have NE5532 and I am on the way to design a Gainclone in the line of Peranders using NE5532 as buffer and DC-servo.
