2SA1085 and 2SA970 are both available from RS.

I'm reviving this thread because I have a need to replace a couple 2sa1085E's on an amp. So is the 2sa970 a good replacement for the 2sa1085? Have the 2sa1085's been taken out of production? If not, where can I source some in the US without it costing 5 dollars a piece? Is this possible?
