Just curious about which manufacturers use what type of technology in their receivers ? Things like -
Lower negative feedback High Slew Rate High Damping Factor High Gain Bandwidth Product Mosfets in the output stages (not neccessarily good but just curious) Beefier, faster power supplies (aka fast-soft recovery rectifiers and large reservoir capacitors) Seperate power supplies (like seperate bridges, seperate transformer secondaries etc..) Seperate power amps for each channel (I suppose this should mostly be the case) Are such specs available to the consumer ? Which manufacturers/models stand out or are atleast ahead of the rest in these type of specs ? |

ive been looking for ages, have not found what im looking for yet. it seems realy hard to get hold of data other than output, which is a shame, coz some of them use interesting stuff to build amps with.
if you can find the schem. for a Sherwood R-325-RDS let me know, even the inter conects, coz its got a totaly discreet amp section id love to pull out and put into a different case. see you later, steve.. ..

Hi Percy,
This would be totally lost on most consumers. You need to figure out which designers you like. That will tell you most of the things in your post. Then, investigate the units they market. -Chris |
