Three Way Attentunating Switch on -10db line level

I would like to put a 3 way resistance switch across a -10db line level audio signal before it goes into an amplifier.

I don't want a preamp or a rotary volume control.

Is it possible to put resistors on a 3 way toggle switch so that I have a low/med/high control switch on the line level? Even high would still offer some resistance as I don't want to open the amplifier up to a full signal. Hi would probably be 70% of max.

If this kind of switch is possible, what resistors would I use?

Can I use the same resistor in series to double/triple the attenuation?

Thanks,

Dean
